BioQuantum is a Vermont-based company founded for the purpose of marketing and distributing renewable fuels and products and is committed to doing all that it can to reduce America’s dependence on foreign sources of energy.

BioQuantum’s current product offerings include biodiesel, biolubricants, kernel corn for heating, and agri-fuel based heating appliances.  All of the fuels and lubricants offered by BioQuantum are biodegradable,  carbon neutral, and are grown and processed in North America.


The BioQuantum Team is composed of:

David Bonta, President & Chief Visionary Officer
David Bonta is primarily responsible for providing vision and direction for the company and anticipating future biofuels markets.

Thatcher Michelsen, Vice President of Business Development
Thatcher Michelsen handles the marketing, web design, communication and technology requirements for the company.

Doug Patterson, Vice President of Sales
Doug Patterson is the primary sales agent handling the bulk of BioQuantum’s inquiries.  He also meets regularly with potential strategic partners in the oil industry.

Gary C. Winslow, Vice President of Operations
Gary Winslow manages day-to-day affairs and logistics and works to solidify relationships initiated by him and the rest of the team.

Management Summary:

BioQuantum's Management Team will be led by company President and CVO, David Bonta.  Mr. Bonta has been working in the renewable-energy industry in Vermont since 2001, has both a business and a home completely powered by solar energy, and drives biodiesel powered vehicles.  Currently Mr. Bonta is owner of CET Solar Store, a retail chain store whose mission is to make conservation and renewable energy products and systems more readily available to a growing market.  Mr. Bonta was a founding father of Vermont's first Biodiesel distribution company, Global E Industries, which he left to pursue other opportunities more in sync with his business vision and values.   Mr. Bonta serves on the board of the Vermont Biofuels Association and as Vice President of the Sustainable Valley Group based in Springfield, Vermont.

Managing the sales team is vice president of sales Doug Patterson.  Mr. Patterson has spent the past two years actively developing the market for biodiesel in Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire while remaining a sales/distributor for another biodiesel firm. Mr. Patterson has significant experience developing sales and marketing leads within the field of environmental products as an independent consultant working with certified forest product companies. Mr. Patterson assisted these companies by identifying markets, working linkages, and identifying sources in the certified wood marketplace. Mr. Patterson did similar work while working as the Northeast Manager for the Certified Wood and Paper Association, as Manager of Certification Consulting at The Forest World Group, and as third party forest products auditor for SmartWood. Mr. Patterson created the Environmental Building News Product Catalog, while Products Editor at Environmental Building News, which placed him in contact with many players in the environmental and sustainable development field. He started his own company to produce and distribute ecological and non-toxic building materials and products. A former University of Victoria (BC) lecturer in the School of Environmental Studies, Mr. Patterson has a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology from that school and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University.

Head of operations is Gary Winslow.  Mr. Winslow has been involved with renewable energy for the past four years and has been involved with Biofuels for the past two years as a distributor of biodiesel for another Biofuels company.  Mr. Winslow first entered the renewable energy sector through the work with a Vermont-based wind turbine manufacturing company and, following that, work for a wind-energy consulting company.  Through his work in renewable energy, Mr. Winslow has had significant exposure to the financial and consumer trends associated with all forms of renewable energy.  Mr. Winslow, who has overseen many varied projects since his graduation from the Civil Engineering department at the University of New Hampshire in 1994, brings strong project management and operations skills to the team.  Mr. Winslow's significant experience took him to Antarctica, where logistical and operational challenges in this field are significant.  Through his five years of experience with the United States Antarctic Program, Mr. Winslow learned what it takes to accomplish goals under difficult logistical situations where challenges in infrastructure abide.  Mr. Winslow currently resides in White River Junction, Vermont.

Thatcher Michelsen will head business development strategies, communications and marketing systems, and product research and testing.  As an inexorable young entrepreneur Mr. Michelsen has been an avid and involved biodiesel user and proponent for more than four years.  His knowledge and hands-on experience of biodiesel use in real-world transportation proves invaluable when answering the public's questions about the resource.  Mr. Michelsen owns and operates a technology-consulting firm in Manchester Vermont, We Unite Data, Inc.  Mr. Michelsen’s creative skills in the area of new media and marketing strategies are crucial to the success of any company in today's information technology-intensive economy.   Mr. Michelsen also founded 2Renu, Inc., an advanced "cradle to cradle" industrial cycles consulting company, focused on edification of zero-emissions manufacturing, which will help large companies create larger profit margins while drastically reducing or ultimately eliminating both waste and pollution. Mr. Michelsen currently resides in Manchester, Vermont, and is a founding member of the Vermont Biofuels Association.
